
Bill Digan is a field engineer/estimator for Chugach Alaska Services Inc and has lived in Alaska over 30 years. He has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers since 1968 and took some college level business courses.
He enjoys reading, history, hunting, fishing and boating.
Bill currently serves as GVEA’s board secretary. He has also served as board president of the City of Fairbanks Federal Credit Union for over 10 years. He has been a Mason for over 30 years and has achieved Master Mason. Bill also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, 4H and the Boys and Girls Club of Alaska.

Ward Merdes is an attorney at Merdes & Merdes, P.C. and has lived in Alaska for 45 years. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. He graduated from Cornell University with a Masters in Business Administration.
He enjoys an interest in ham radio, rebuilding 1956 Ford F-100 Pickups, martial arts and teaching trial practices.
Ward has served as a board member and state delegate for the Alaska Association for Justice, Fairbanks Parking Authority and Fairbanks Development Authority. He is currently a member of the Arctic Amateur Radio Club, board member for the UAF Paralegal Studies Program, and serves as current legal council for the Alaska Goldpanners
Van Lawrence is a self-employed attorney and has lived in Alaska for 30 years. He received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the College of William and Mary.
He enjoys playing in a steel drum band, history, economics, cross-country skiing and mountain biking.
Van has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairbanks since 1980 and has held the positions of president, secretary and treasurer. He currently holds the position of vice president of the Caribbean Culture & Music Club at UAF and is a board director of the Foster Grandparent Senior Companion Program and the Pioneer Home Foundation.
Ken Eggleston is a retired Superintendent of Schools in Nenana and has lived in Alaska for 20 years. He received an Associate Degree in Heavy Equipment, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts Education, Master of Science in Industrial Technology and an Education Doctorate in Educational Administration.
He enjoys outdoor activities, woodworking and residential construction.
He is involved in youth activities, the American Association of Retired People and serves as membership chair of the Nenana Lions Club.
Marie Monroe is the general manager of Doyon Tourism, Inc. and has lived in Alaska for 56 years.
She enjoys reading, walking, travel, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Marie is a board member of the Denali Education Center and has served as a board member on both the Yukon-Koyukuk and Nenana Boards of Education.
Bill Nordmark is the owner of Motel Nord Haven and has lived in Alaska for 56 years. He has earned over 130 credit hours in engineering and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician III.
He enjoys working with wood and metal and is currently building a 27-foot aluminum sailboat. His interests also include hiking, biking, boating and reading, particularly history, philosophy and astronomy.
Bill is a charter member of the Healy Valley Lions Club and has served all offices up to Deputy District Governor Northwest. He is also a member of the College Rotary Club, Healy Chamber of Commerce and Alaska State Fire Chiefs Association.
