Become a SNAP Producer

SNAP stands for Sustainable Natural Alternative Power. Since implementing SNAP in 2005, 39 local members are active SNAP producers, generating green power for Interior Alaska.

SNAP is not for members who want to install renewable energy sources for back-up power generation at their home or business.

Interested in becoming a SNAP power producer? The following documents outline the process. Contact Energy Efficiency Specialist Todd Hoener at (907) 451-5607 or SNAP@gvea.com with any questions.
