SNAP stands for Sustainable Natural Alternative Power. Golden Valley Electric Association is encouraging members to become SNAP producers by connecting renewable power generators, such as solar panels and wind turbines, to GVEA's electrical distribution system.

SNAP is not for members who want to install renewable energy sources for back-up power generation at their home or business.
