Youth Rally - Caldwell, Idaho | July 9 - 14, 2012

youthrallyWhat is Youth Rally?

It is an all-expenses paid vacation to a fun-filled week of activities. GVEA is sponsoring two local students’ enrollment in the 2012 Idaho Youth Rally at the College of Idaho in Caldwell.

At Youth Rally, all activities and games are designed to strengthen your communication and leadership abilities while having fun and learning more about the electric utility industry.

You’ll also have a chance to win scholarships for college and a visit to Washington, D.C. as part of the National Youth Leadership Council. Tip: An experience like Youth Rally is an asset on a college application.

Last year, GVEA sent two Interior students to Youth Rally: Olivia Dowling (Monroe Catholic) and Nick Woolf (West Valley). They both came back with glowing reviews.

Who can apply?

  1. Applicants must be sophomores or juniors attending a school within GVEA’s service area.
  2. Applicant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be GVEA member(s) currently receiving electric service from Golden Valley Electric.
  3. Deadline: Applications must be returned to GVEA's Fairbanks office by 5 p.m. on April 3, 2012.

Who went last year and what did they think?
