This applies to all applicants. Remember to request transcripts from your high school or previous university in time to be turned in with your application. They are required for a complete application. High school transcripts must include the first semester of senior year. If you have already attended a university or college full-time for at least one semester, it is not necessary to include high school transcripts. For higher education transcripts, unofficial copies of transcripts, including those obtained via the Internet, are acceptable and preferred. 2 Reference Letters: Attach 2 references in letter format. Inform your references that their letters must be returned to you so you can submit them with your application – do not send them separately from your application or your application will be considered incomplete. The references should be recent (within the last 9 months) and should be from individuals knowledgeable enough about you both academically and personally to provide insight into your personal characteristics, abilities, achievements, motivation and potential. One of the references should be from a past or present teacher, guidance counselor or other school official. The second should be from a past or present employer or someone with whom you have worked on a community or volunteer service activity, through religious affiliation or personal acquaintance.
