Lineworker Appreciation

Each year, on April 18, we recognize National Lineworker Appreciation Day. So, throughout the month, GVEA is celebrating our lineworkers by highlighting individuals who help keep the lights on across the Interior.

Every day, these lineworkers face immense risks. They carry heavy gear, regularly scale 40-foot poles near highvoltage power lines and much more—very often in the middle of terrible weather conditions when GVEA members need them most. It’s no wonder the profession is among the 25 most dangerous jobs in the country.

GVEA salutes the people who best exemplify the cooperative spirit: our lineworkers.
